Werbetafeln und Schaukästen im Stadtraum
Microbial Cityscape ist eine ortsspezifische Installation, die darauf abzielt, regionales mikrobielles Leben in der urbanen Landschaft der Stadt Düsseldorf zu erfassen, zu begreifen, zu modellieren und darzustellen. Die Werbetafeln auf den Plätzen der Stadt werden zu Lebensräumen umfunktioniert, die Mikroorganismen in Form von farbintensiven, malerischen Bildern visuell darstellen. Das Hauptziel des Projekts besteht darin, unsere Interaktionen mit der Biosphäre im städtischen Leben zu untersuchen und in einen Kontext zu stellen und gleichzeitig innovative Ansätze für ein harmonisches Zusammenleben mit verschiedenen Arten zu entwickeln.

Billboards and showcases in urban space
Microbial Cityscape is a site-specific installation that aims to capture, understand, model and represent regional microbial life in the urban landscape of the city of Düsseldorf. The billboards in the city’s squares are transformed into habitats that visually represent microorganisms in the form of colourful, painterly images. The main aim of the project is to examine and contextualise our interactions with the biosphere in urban life while developing innovative approaches to harmonious coexistence with different species.
